FESTIVAL OF TREES 2007

Festival of Trees wrapped up 2007 for ICM with one of our most successful events to- date. The week kicked off with numerous volunteers decorating Christmas trees which lit up the ballroom of South Shore Harbour Resort. On Wednesday, November 28th, the Holiday in the City Style Show, chaired by Dorinda Corbett, and hosted record breaking numbers of eager luncheon guests ready for some fun. The room was full of glitz and glamour as models hit the runway wearing fashions from The Clothes-horse, Jos. A Banks and Jill’s Bridal and Fashions. Wednesday evening, we opened the doors to the public to view the beautiful Christmas trees and enjoy cookies with Santa, sponsored by Ms. Janet’s Children of the Future.

The ballroom of South Shore Harbour Resort was breathtaking as the doors opened for the Festival of Trees Gala on Friday, December 1st. More than 500 community leaders, businesses, volunteers, and supporters gathered for dinner and dancing to the music of the Navigators. The silent and live auctions included a fish fry for 40 donated by Maurice Estlinbaum, a trip for two to Florida donated by Southwest Airlines and Interval International, and a beautiful white gold and diamond necklace donated by Ed Station. Gala chairperson, Teresa Vencil of TAD AKERS, out did herself decorating the room with beautiful white orchids and crystal and silver centerpieces designed by Clear Lake Flowers especially for our event.
